    It's official - Wayne Bennett is heading back to the Rabbitohs from 2025


    One of the worst kept secrets in the NRL has finally been confirmed, with the seven-time Premiership winning coach signing a three-year deal after he exits the Dolphins as planned after this season.

    The Eels had also made overtures to sign Bennett - with Brad Arthur sacked yesterday.

    Bennett was the Rabbitohs' Head Coach between 2019 and 2021, taking the club to preliminary final appearances in the first two years and the Grand Final in his final season in charge.

    Bennett replaces Jason Demetriou, the man he left in charge after his first stint.
