NRL Premiership winner Jamie Soward believes Mana Pasifika should become New Zealand's second team in the Australian rugby league competition

The Maori-Pacific consortium launched its bid last week but will have to compete against three South Island bids.

Given the strong make-up of Pacific Island players in the NRL, Soward thinks it's a no-brainer to introduce a team that has a strong connection to Polynesian culture.
