All Blacks lock Tupou Vaa'i has re-signed with New Zealand Rugby until 2027, becoming the latest current test player to commit his future here

All Blacks lock Tupou Vaa'i has re-signed with New Zealand Rugby until 2027, becoming the latest current test player to commit his future here

Vaa'i had made 38 test appearances since his debut in 2020.

He follows All Blacks teammates Sam Darry and Pasilio Tosi in recommitting in the last seven days.

Hurricanes coach Clark Laidlaw is astonished at the rapid return from an ACL rupture by Brett Cameron.

The one-test All Blacks playmaker will come off the bench against the Highlanders on Friday, after suffering the injury in Manawatu training last NPC.

George Bell and Johnny McNicholl make their first competitive appearances of the year for the Crusaders for the Sydney visit to the Waratahs on Friday.

Top scorer Patrick Pellegrini headlines Moana Pasifika's changes ahead of Saturday's season-defining Super Rugby Pacific clash with the Blues at North Harbour Stadium.

After coming off the bench against the Highlanders down south before their bye-week - Pellegrini slots back in at 10 in place of Jackson Garden-Bachop.

A bonus-point win could see Moana jump the Blues into a play-off spot, still holding a game-in-hand.

Caleb Clarke is back from a thigh injury for the Blues.
