All Black Jordie Barrett is backing the talent of Hurricanes teammate Callum Harkin to step up at first five ahead of this afternoon's Super Rugby contest with the Fijian Drua in Lautoka

Harkin has been thrust into the 10 jersey for at least the next month, with Ruben Love rehabbing from an ankle injury and both Brett Cameron and Harry Godfrey out for the season.

Barrett thinks Harkin's benefited from adversity early in his career.
