Disability advocates say their tiny increase in funding is unworkable and will affect the sector

Disability advocates say their tiny increase in funding is unworkable and will affect the sector

The ministry of health has announced a funding increase of just one percent.

It comes after several years of no increases.

The New Zealand Disability Support Network's Dr Garth Bennie says the lack of funding will mean staffing levels could fall, which will compromise good practice and quality.

Bennie says it's simply a drop in the bucket.
