Hopes Aucklanders affected by changes to public transport services adapt and find alternative routes

Hopes Aucklanders affected by changes to public transport services adapt and find alternative routes

Auckland Council's reworked budget requires a10-million dollar cost reduction in public transport operating expenditure, compared with the pre-Covid budget.

One of the changes is the Stanley Bay ferry service.

It will cease on Christmas Eve - with resources allocated to Hobsonville Point.

Devonport Takapuna Local Board chair Aidan Bennett says it's unfortunate - but some changes have to be made.

He says it's disappointing, but people will adapt to the changes.
