An Australian state's on the verge of bringing in digital drivers licences

Queenslanders will soon be able to ditch their physical id cards for a mobile app.

The scheme was trialled over seven months - But tech commentator Paul Brislen says authorities must be mindful of privacy and security.

He says these days it's not just a license to drive a car - it's used for age verification, ID purposes online and even for banking transactions.
