Belief the country lacks the skills to build and prepare for big hospital projects

Belief the country lacks the skills to build and prepare for big hospital projects

1News reports Health NZ is urging the Government to consider allowing Public Private Partnerships, given the scale of investment required.

Former Health NZ chair, Rob Campbell, says it's a dangerous suggestion, until we rebuild those skills.

He says a PPP might help on the accounting side of things but it won't make projects any cheaper and risks will still fall onto the government and ratepayers.
