    The Reserve Bank is offering its expertise to assist the Government in dampening the heated housing market


    Finance Minister Grant Robertson asked the Central Bank, to consider house prices more closely in its monetary policy remit.

    Bank Governor Adrian Orr says it shares the same objectives as the Government, around economic wellbeing for New Zealanders.

    He says it's a valid an important topic to be involved in - and the bank will do the work.
