The stage is set for Judith Collins' to address party faithful in Auckland this afternoon

The stage is set for Judith Collins' to address party faithful in Auckland this afternoon

After weeks of negative headlines, she'll be hoping to deliver a circuit breaker at her key-note speech.

Chief Political Reporter Jason Walls says despite a slight jump in the polls, National's still nowhere near where it needs to be.

He says the party's been languishing under the the thirty per cent mark most of this year - with it's only saving grace being the Act Party's soaring popularity/

Walls says Collins will be looking to shift the focus away from her poll woes -- potentially with a meaty announcement.
