    The Electoral Commission's gearing up for an increase in voting this weekend, in the Tamaki Makaurau by-election


    Ex broadcaster Oriini Kaipara, from Te Pati Maori, and Labour List MP Peeni Henare are battling it out in the by-election - which follows the death of Te Pati Maori MP Takutai Tarsh Kemp.

    A total of 34 polling booths will be open this weekend.

    People can enrol and vote up to and on election day - which is a week away on Saturday the 6th September.
