No slow-down in the increasing cost for seeing a GP

No slow-down in the increasing cost for seeing a GP

The General Practice Owners Association's annual pulse survey shows small improvements to some practices' financial situations, and patient numbers.

But 85-percent of respondents confirmed they'd recently increased fees, or were about to.

Association Chair Doctor Angus Chambers says 23-percent are financially worse off.

He says two sources of money are Government funding and patients - with the latter bearing the brunt.

Chambers says he's concerned about this barrier to access.
