Consultation closes today on a proposed trial of fortnightly rubbish collection in parts of Auckland

Consultation closes today on a proposed trial of fortnightly rubbish collection in parts of Auckland

The six month trial would start in February and involve 10-thousand homes in Te Atatu Peninsula, Panmure, Tamaki, Clendon Park and Weymouth.

Those involved in the trial will get a temporary rates reduction to reflect the change in service.

More than two thousand-700 submissions have been received since consultation opened about two weeks ago.

The final decision will be made in December.
