Auckland has entered Covid-19 alert level three

Auckland has entered Covid-19 alert level three

Nine Police checkpoints have been set up to restrict access to and from the region.

People are being advised to work from home, and to only access essential services when they need - such as supermarkets, pharmacies, and petrol stations.

Most restaurants and bars will close, as well as public and council owned facilities, playgrounds and gyms.

Hospitals will still do planned care, and patients should keep appointments unless their specialist says not to.

For the rest of the country at level two, no more than 100 people can gather, and two-metre physical distancing must be maintained.
