A plea for residents of Auckland's North Shore as case numbers increase

Health officials are no longer looking at suburbs of interest, instead concentrating on areas with higher rates of the virus.

People with symptoms or exposure in Auckland's New Lynn and the North Shore's Rosedale, Redvale, and Bayswater ... are being told to get tested.

North Shore rep on the Auckland Council Richard Hills is urging people to get vaccinated, keep wearing masks, and not meet up with others indoors.

He acknowledges it's hard for everyone right now, but says we need to try to keep cases under control and protect vulnerable communities.
