New research has named vision loss and high cholesterol as new risk factors of dementia

There are now 14 risk factors of the condition, as named in the latest Lancet Commission report.
It's also provided 13 recommendations, with the number of people with dementia expected to almost triple by 2050.
Auckland University brain researcher Dr Helen Murray says small lifestyle changes will go a long way to reducing the risk.
She says increased exercise, not smoking and reduced hypertension are some examples of things we can do to prevent or delay long-term risk of dementia.
