Kiwis who lost loved-ones to Covid-19 are welcoming news of a life saving treatment

Kiwis who lost loved-ones to Covid-19 are welcoming news of a life saving treatment

Global trials have found two anti-inflammatory arthritis drugs can drop death rates in critically ill patients by 24 per cent.

Pharmac is now looking at extending tocilizumab and sarilumab funding for Covid-19.

A man who lost his 79-year-old mother to the virus says doctors were helpless to prevent her death.

The father-of-two says this is great news -- and maybe one of these drugs could have saved her life.

He wants New Zealanders to remember the severity of Covid-19 because he expected his mum to live.
