Researchers are delving into the long term effects air pollution has on New Zealanders' health

A new study into the effects on physical and mental health will kick off next month in Christchurch.
It will use data from one of New Zealand's longest-running longitudinal studies - the Christchurch Health and Development Study.
Canterbury University researcher Dr Matthew Hobbs says it's timely, as people in Bromley deal with the stench from the fire damaged wastewater plant.
He says evidence does show the odours coming from the plant are impacting on people's quality of life.
