A prisoner advocate has little faith in the impact of a Mt Eden Prison report

The Inspectorate Office published 31 findings into the facility's operations, after an assessment in October.

The findings range from positive, on its leadership and addiction programmes, to negative, on staffing and its mental health considerations.

Howard League Canterbury president Cosmo Jeffery says the inspector and ombudsman make recommendations time and time again.

He says Corrections always accepts them - but nothing changes.
