    Warnings a person infectious with measles - was at Auckland City Hospital's Emergency Department for more than nine hours last Friday


    Health New Zealand's confirmed they picked up the disease travelling overseas - where there are widespread outbreaks.

    The person was in the Adult ED Triage and Clinical Decision Unit, between 10.30am and 7.45pm.

    People there during that time should watch for symptoms over the next two weeks.

    The case is not linked to recent cases in Northland and Queenstown.

    Health NZ says this underscores importance of pre-travel immunisation.
