A Singaporean tourist has pleaded guilty following a fatal road crash that killed an elderly Queenstown woman

84-year-old Noelene Tait died on Frankton Road two weeks ago, when her car was hit by head-on by a vehicle crossing the centre line.

29-year-old Dalbert Tin appeared in the Queenstown District Court this morning, pleading guilty to two charges of careless driving causing injury - and one charge of careless driving causing death.

Judge Walker remanded Tin on bail until sentencing on February 10.

Tin is visiting New Zealand with his wife, on a tourist visa.
