A young mum's been found guilty of murdering her partner at a flat on Auckland's Dominion Road

21-year-old Brendon Hamilton was stabbed in the neck by Rikki-Lee Simeon in May 2019.

Simeon, who was 18 at the time, pleaded not guilty to murdering the father of her child and told police she'd stabbed him by accident.

It was a unanimous guilty verdict from the jury at the High Court in Auckland this afternoon.

Simeon will be sentenced in April.
