A man's been back in court in relation to a violent robbery at a Wellington restaurant

A man's been back in court in relation to a violent robbery at a Wellington restaurant

Zane Phipps-Black made a second appearance in the Wellington District Court today, charged with causing, and intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

The 25-year-old was arrested after the Taste of India restaurant in Miramar was robbed earlier this month.

A staff member in his 70s was left with a fractured skull.

Phipps-Black is also jointly charged with robbing a cash register, with an unknown person who's still at large.

He's been remanded on bail and will reappear next month.
