A rural property near Te Awamutu has been forfeited, after a long-running Police investigation

A rural property near Te Awamutu has been forfeited, after a long-running Police investigation

It follows a 2017 investigation into the supply of methamphetamine in Waikato.

In 2019, Blaine Weir was convicted of manufacturing and supplying the drug -- as well as firearm, assault and burglary offences -- and sentenced to five years, nine months in prison.

This March, five vehicles were seized along with more than 140-thousand dollars cash.

This month, a 9.8 hectare rural property south west of Te Awamutu - at Pukeatua - was forfeited.

In total, more than one-million-dollars worth of assets have been surrendered.
