Arrests have finally been made, a year after six and a half thousand gold bars were stolen from Toronto's Pearson Airport, along with millions in cash

Police say the Netflix-like heist was carried out in a cargo facility by a well-organised group of criminals, and their investigation is ongoing.

A driver, connected to the robbery, has been arrested in the US carrying guns Police say were intended for Canada.

Five other suspects, two of whom were employees of Air Canada and accused of carrying the stolen goods, were arrested and will appear in court at a later date.

Some of the gold and cash has been recovered, and more arrest warrants have been issued.

It was the largest gold heist in Canadian history.
