Revelations former Environment Canterbury chair Peter Scott was recorded speeding 46 times in a single day - including 18 occasions before 5am

Revelations former Environment Canterbury chair Peter Scott was recorded speeding 46 times in a single day - including 18 occasions before 5am

Scott resigned yesterday, after apologised and surrendering his council-issued Toyota Highlander, due to repeated speed incidents.

Newstalk ZB's seen the full data set of 679 speeding incidents by Scott since the beginning of the year.

Almost half were considered excessive speed - of at least 15 kilometres above the posted limited - while 21 reached the bar for driver licence suspension.

Scott has acknowledged he's made mistakes.
