A man's been arrested after a bus driver was hit with a wrench during an alleged road rage incident in Auckland

Police say the tool was thrown through an open bus window - hitting the driver in the head, just before 2.30 yesterday afternoon near Onehunga Mall.

The driver was taken to hospital with an injury above his eye, and is now recovering at home.

A 30-year-old man faces multiple charges and will appear in the Auckland District Court in the coming days.
