A man's in custody after a standoff in Auckland's Waterview

Police say a man arrived at a Tutuki Street address of an acquaintance this afternoon, allegedly making concerning comments before the occupant managed to leave.

After armed Police cordoned off the street and attempted to engage with him, they entered the property and took a 43-year-old into custody.

Charges are yet to be decided.
