    A 41-year-old man's before the courts - after allegedly stealing the front gates of a residential property in North Canterbury


    Police were alerted to the burglary on Southbrook Road in Rangiora last Tuesday - where gates had been taken during the day, in front of peak traffic.

    The alleged offender was arrested at a Christchurch property, after Police found the stolen gates partially mounted to the front fence.

    The man is due back in court later this month.
