The paediatrician who treated Malachi Subecz says more medical consultation's needed in child abuse cases

The five-year-old was murdered in 2021, after months of abuse at the hands of his carer.

In a coronial inquiry, Niall Patrick Kelly's spoken of a child who died in similar circumstance, two months later.

He says a police office observed her bruises and a black eye - and accepted the accidental explanation.

He says she might've been saved with speedier professional advice.
