One man's appearing in court today, over allegedly presenting an air gun at Police in South Auckland

Officers followed an unregistered quad bike travelling to a Manurewa address before midnight.

Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers says staff were attempting to talk to the rider but encountered aggressive individuals hanging around the property.

He says one of the men allegedly pulled what appeared to be a revolver from his pocket.

Armed Police were then called in, with one man arrested.

The 26-year-old man faces charges of unlawfully carrying an air gun and assault with an air gun.
