A third shark attack in Sydney in just 24 hours has forced authorities to close 20 beaches until further notice

A third shark attack in Sydney in just 24 hours has forced authorities to close 20 beaches until further notice

A 27-year-old surfer is in a critical condition with leg injuries, after being attacked at North Steyne Beach in Sydney's northern beaches last night.

It's after an 11-year-old's surfboard was bitten by a shark at nearby Dee Why, while a teenage boy was attacked near the upmarket Vaucluse on Sunday.

Local Blake Beveridge has told Nine News, he loves sharks and the ocean, but also hates seeing things like this.
