Police are looking for two men who assaulted a Hamilton woman, while trying to enter her Fairfield home

Police are looking for two men who assaulted a Hamilton woman, while trying to enter her Fairfield home

The intruders fled the Clarkin Road address, towards River Road about 9pm - while the woman required hospital treatment for her injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson says nobody should be unsafe in their own home - and they will be providing her with wrap around support.

He's asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area between 8.30 and 9.30pm yesterday to get in touch.

Neilson says they'll be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.
