A German Shepard breeder will be allowed to own up to ten dogs despite a puppy dying in her care and three others being put down due to neglect

Open Justice reports Anne Glover was found with seven sick and neglected dogs at her rural property in Waikato's Pokeno in 2023.

She was banned from owning dogs for four years and ordered to complete 150 hours community work.

The Crown made an exception so she can own ten dogs and one litter of puppies for safety as she had previously suffered a serious home invasion.

The SPCA says it's satisfied she would able to care for them better than the more than 40 dogs she had had in her care previously.
