    Waikato Police have arrested three people after finding large quantities of dried cannabis buried in underground storage pits in Matamata and Piako


    They also found a cache of firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine and LSD.

    Two of the firearms located were loaded and two had had been cut down to become pistols.

    Last week, officers in Morrinsville dug up 10 litres of a chemical used to make the a date rape drug.

    They say its seizure is expected to have a significant impact on the sale and supply of the harmful drug
