Act and New Zealand First appear to be united in their opposition to a recent court ruling, over the assault of a 71-year-old woman at a Posie Parker

Act and New Zealand First appear to be united in their opposition to a recent court ruling, over the assault of a 71-year-old woman at a Posie Parker

The woman was punched three times in the face at an event hosted by the British critic of progressive gender ideology.

The man's been granted a discharge without conviction and permanent name suppression.

Online, Winston Peters noted the Cabinet Manual means a Minister cannot comment on the court sentencing of a man for a blatant assault -- no matter how ridiculous and out of touch the sentencing is.

And in a press release last night, the Act Party said the discharge without conviction is a tragedy for women.
