A reminder to watch out for -- and report -- things that don't seem right in our neighbourhoods

The Hamilton suburb of Fairfield is continuing to come to terms with an early morning incident on New Year's Day that left a baby dead, and a woman and another young child with serious injuries.

Police say a 34-year-old man will appear in court next month on charges of murder and attempted murder.

Hamilton City councillor Tim Macindoe says it's important people continue to report concerning incidents to relevant authorities.

He says people need to be vigilant, to potentially prevent tragedies.
