NZTA says a Bay of Plenty road closure announcement made this morning was actually meant to be made last night

NZTA says a Bay of Plenty road closure announcement made this morning was actually meant to be made last night

It's blaming a technology error for a media advisory being delayed.

State Highway 2 between Katikati and Tauranga was closed due to a serious crash near Sharp Road last night.

It reopened in the early hours of this morning.
