There's hopes Wellington City Council can put better checks and balances in place after an error left them short of three million dollars

There's hopes Wellington City Council can put better checks and balances in place after an error left them short of three million dollars

An upcoming report shows Wellington Water meter users have been undercharged over the last financial year.

It was caused by a data-inputting error through a combination of systems and manual processes and was first detected late last year..

Wellington city councillor Dianne Calvert says its disappointing and they have to make sure going forward an error of this nature doesn't happen again.
