    A former Lower Hutt teacher has been sentenced to six months' home detention for sex offences committed more than 30 years ago


    The 73-year old man appeared in Wellington District Court today charged with crimes against a female student in the 1980s - while working as a high school teacher.

    On three separate occasions he indecently assaulted and inappropriately touched the girl, who was aged between 13 and 15.
