    Repeat burglary numbers may be higher than we think


    Ministry of Justice numbers show repeat burglary numbers jumped from 40 percent to 63 percent in 2020-2021.

    Institute of Criminology Senior Lecturer Trevor Bradley says properties in deprived areas are less likely to report it to police.

    He says those most socio-economically vulnerable are more often victimised but don't get counted.
