A teenager arrested after a Wellington college was put in lockdown has been charged with possessing a copy of the livestream of the Christchurch Mosque attacks

A teenager arrested after a Wellington college was put in lockdown has been charged with possessing a copy of the livestream of the Christchurch Mosque attacks

The charge was laid today in the Youth Court at Porirua.

Chief Youth Court judge John Walker says an intervention plan will now be put in place.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, is already facing charges of possessing five ammunition rounds and point-22 rifle without lawful excuse.

He was arrested in November last year after Wellington High School was locked down over a credible threat received by police.

He's next due to appear in the Wellington Youth Court in April.
