    A Gloriavale school teacher has been convicted after pleading guilty to assaulting pupils


    Vigilant Standtrue has admitted to assaulting children aged 9, 10 and 11 between July 2017 and July 2020.

    He's appeared in the Greymouth District Court.

    The offending includes pushing, shaking, and calling one child a moron, at the Gloriavale School and Community garden.

    Standtrue has been remanded for sentencing in January next year.
