The Government's putting 3.8 million dollars into increasing well-being support for about 80 thousand Auckland tertiary students

The Government's putting 3.8 million dollars into increasing well-being support for about 80 thousand Auckland tertiary students

It includes mental health promotion activities, wider access to talking therapies, drug and alcohol help and student-led initiatives -- as well as targeted supports for Maori, Pasifika and Rainbow students.

Health Minister Andrew Little says Auckland's borne the brunt of Covid... and it's really disruptive to young people.

He says universities already have a level of services, and this is topping that up, knowing the demand is greater.
