Police say Dunedin's student area was largely quiet this weekend

That's despite Otago Daily Times reporting of a wild party at an infamous Castle Street flat, which saw abuse towards police and one arrest on Friday night.

Police have increased prevention and partnership activities which they say has had a positive effect on student safety.

While there were a few student parties they were generally well behaved ... one was closed after a request from police.
