Parents are being urged to check their teenagers and young adults aren't withdrawing from society

Parents are being urged to check their teenagers and young adults aren't withdrawing from society

The Graeme Dingle Foundation has found a number of 14 to 24 year-olds are disengaging from their peers, education and society.

Victoria University clinical psychologist Dougal Sutherland says parents need to work together to track if their teenagers are getting out of the house.

He says they need to gently ask them whether they're going out, where they're going and who they're seeing.
