Union members at six universities are calling for a vote on strike action

The Tertiary Education Union says members are overwhelmingly frustrate at Auckland, Massey, Victoria, Lincoln, Canterbury, and Otago - by the pace of pay negotiations.

The TEU has tabled claims for a six-percent pay increase - significantly more than offers of one-and-a-half to three-percent.
