There's hope that better support for mentor teachers, will results in more people staying in the job

The Post Primary Teachers' Association's aiming to make the role better recognised, through a series of initiatives - like clearer guidelines.
A PPTA survey found almost 20 percent of people believe they didn't get enough mentoring as a new teacher.
Fifth-year teacher Hayley Corney says good mentoring can help people stay in the profession.
She says it's a really tough job, and having a mentor is vital to becoming a quality educator.
