    An internet outage during NCEA exams yesterday means some students might turn to derived grades to counteract the disadvantage


    Forty Auckland schools and more than a thousand students were disrupted by the hour-long Spark internet black-out.

    It affected multiple corporate customers and school internet provider, Network for Learning.

    Chief Executive Larrie Moore says nine schools were affected in the middle of exams.
