The Education Minister's promising support for teachers struggling with sweeping sector changes

The Education Minister's promising support for teachers struggling with sweeping sector changes

The Government this year, announced a new curriculum, an NCEA overhaul, the plan to scrap a Treaty clause for boards - while rolling out structured literacy in primary schools.

Erica Stanford says feedback on what's been done is positive - but she acknowledges there are concerns about changes still coming.

She agrees they can be tough and some initiatives may be delayed - and they will take feedback from teachers around the pace of change.
